Chronicle of the Week: A strong iodine temperament!
Cuvée “Monoparcelle 538” comes from a small 44-acre parcel located in the “Desmalets” area to the north of the Sancerre appellation, in Sury-en-Vaux.
The Sauvignon Blanc vines are around 50 years old, and are anchored in 40 centimetres of Terres Blanches on a subsoil of large sedimentary slabs of Kimmeridgian limestone.
Worthy of the greatest Chablis crus, this cuvée’s marine, shell-like, iodized identity is simply breathtaking!
