Chronicle of the Week: An ode to Avize !

Produced from two 50-year-old Chardonnay vines in the heart of the village of Avize, “Les Chemins d’Avize” Champagne has a unique mineral density.
The cuvée was created in 2009 by Pierre and Sophie Larmandier, thanks to the acquisition of a small press that enabled them to isolate only 2 parcels on very poor chalk soil, the plots “Chemin de Plivot” and “Chemin de Flavigny”.
Vinified in barrels and tuns, the clear wines are then aged on their lees for 11 months before prolonged bottle ageing of 6 to 7 years in the estate cellars.
Thank you to the domaine @larmandier.bernier for entrusting us with its treasures year after year !
