Weekend Tasting: Domaine Bachey-Legros and its Clos

Situated in the south of the Côte de Beaune, on the border between Côte-d’Or and Saône-et-Loire, Santenay is first and foremost the stronghold of Pinot Noir, which alone occupies 80% of the planted area, compared with Chardonnay.
In the same family for 6 generations, Domaine Bachey-Legros is writing one of the finest pages in its history, with the brilliant duo of Samuel Legros and his brother Lénaïc at the helm.
The estate’s great wealth lies in its exceptional heritage of old vines, most of which were planted between 1935 and 1955.
The deep roots perfectly convey the unique identity of each plot, with extraordinary aromatic complexity.

Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two nuances of rich, concentrated Santenay, where power is at the service of elegance:
DOMAINE BACHEY-LEGROS – Santenay “Clos des Hâtes” Vieilles Vignes 2020
DOMAINE BACHEY-LEGROS – Santenay 1er Cru “Clos Rousseau Les Fourneaux” Vieilles Vignes 2020

“Santenay has the body of Pommard and the soul of Volnay.”
