Chronicle of the Week: Pinot Meunier d’auteurs fans welcome!

Based in Fossoy in the Marne Valley, Benoît Déhu is a single parcel, a single grape variety, a single harvest year, a single barrel container, 3 small hectares for 14,000 bottles.
Produced from his single plot of Pinot Meunier, the cuvée “La Rue des Noyers” is vinified and aged for 11 months on lees in 228-liter barrels before a 3-year rest in bottle on laths.
The result is a hand-crafted Champagne, with no dosage, a deep, gourmet bouquet of yellow fruits and mirabelle plums, and a subtle hint of gentle oxidation – a pure delight!
Thank you to Domaine @dehubenoit, whom we now represent with pride and pleasure.
