Chronicle of the Week: Georges Laval
Founded by Georges Laval in 1971 in Cumières on the right bank of the Marne, this pocket-sized 3.5-hectare estate, which has always been organically farmed, was brilliantly taken over in 1996 by his son Vincent.
The “Garennes” cuvée is born of a happy marriage between Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay harvested in 2020 and blended with a palette of reserve wines from the 2013 to 2019 harvests.
Fermentation and barrel ageing give density and depth to this intense, vinous Champagne!
“My father used to say to me: “Don’t do this job, you’ll starve to death”, but I didn’t listen. Vincent Laval
Thank you to Domaine #georgeslaval, whom we now represent with happiness and pride.
