Weekend Tasting: Clos Cibonne, fine, authentic Tibouren wines

Located in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, a little way from Le Pradet, Clos Cibonne is named after its illustrious owner and 18th-century Royal Navy fleet captain, Jean-Baptiste de Cibon.
Today, Brigitte and her husband Claude Deforges preside over the destiny of this Provencal icon, one of only 18 estates to be awarded the title of Cru Classé de Provence in 1955.
Tibouren, a little-known Provencal grape variety that almost disappeared after the phylloxera epidemic, has found an idyllic haven here, in the midst of a verdant setting on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea!
A unique feature of Clos Cibonne, the Tibouren grape predominates the estate’s vineyard, giving rise to authentic, top-flight red and rosé cuvées!

Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two remarkable Côtes de Provence made from the very rare Tibouren grape variety, as interpreted by the iconic Clos Cibonne:
CLOS CIBONNE | Côtes de Provence Rosé “Tibouren” 2021
CLOS CIBONNE | Côtes de Provence Rouge “Tibouren” 2022

“All our passion revolves around the same grape variety, Tibouren.”
Claude Deforges
