Chronicle of the Week: Domaine Graillot
The flagship of the Graillot family, Guiraude is made from a selection of the finest barrels of red Crozes-Hermitage, a unique Syrah born on the alluvial deposits of the Rhône and Isère rivers.
It’s all there, with notes of wild, ripe black fruit, tapenade, zan and pepper!
Whole-harvest vinification lends a sappy quality to the whole, containing the great richness and stretching the finish supported by fine bitters.
“I have a relatively simple approach to winemaking. I try to know as much as possible to use as little as possible.” Maxime Graillot
Many thanks to #domainegraillot for entrusting us with their cuvées d’auteur each vintage!
