Weekend Tasting: Domaine Charly Nicolle, more Fleys than Chablis
Located in the heart of the Yonne in the charming little village of Fleys, 5 kilometers east of Chablis, Domaine Charly Nicolle has a long winegrowing tradition dating back to the late 19th century.
Originally created by Paul Nicolle in the 1950s, the estate is now run by Charly and his partner Lucie.
After working with his father, himself a winemaker, Charly Nicolle, elected “Jeune Talent de Bourgogne” in 2019, took over his great-grandparents’ winery in 2001.
Deeply rooted in his native land of Fleys (pronounced Flé-i), this discreet domaine cultivates just under 20 hectares of vines composed exclusively of Chardonnay.
Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two top-class white wines, both typical of Chablis and true to their own style:
DOMAINE CHARLY NICOLLE – Chablis “Per Aspera” 2021
DOMAINE CHARLY NICOLLE – Vézelay 2020
“I’m happy in my vineyard, I take care of it, it’s a deep, intimate joy.”
Charly Nicolle
