Chronicle of the Week: Domaine De Villaine

Located in Bouzeron, the “La Fortune” vineyard benefits from an ideal terroir for growing Pinot Noir.
Pierre de Benoist, head of Domaine De Villaine since 2001 and nephew of Aubert de Villaine, has always preferred it here to Aligoté.
“La Fortune” always produces a wine with delicious notes of red fruit, easily digestible and accessible, always ahead of “La Digoine”, which shares the same hillside.
