Chronicle of the Week: Leave and come back!

A talented new generation on the Burgundy scene, Maxime Dubuet-Boillot, 1989 vintage, began his career as a mechanic for motor racing, notably at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Back in Burgundy, Maxime has since brilliantly taken over 6 hectares of vines from his maternal grandfather Pierre Boillot, most of them in Volnay.
Little known to connoisseurs, nestled between Les Champans and En l’Ormeau, the Carelle sous la Chapelle vineyard is still an explosion of red fruit, crushed strawberries, raspberries and peonies!
A masterful delicacy!
“Despite Pommard and Meursault, Volnay is always the highest.” Burgundian saying
Many thanks to Domaine @maxime_dubuet_boillot, whose Volnay wines we proudly represent!
