Weekend Tasting: Montirius, fresh and bright

Located in the southern Rhône Valley, south of the Vacqueyras appellation, Domaine Montirius is a 63-hectare estate in the commune of Sarrians in the Vaucluse.
For five generations, the Saurel family has taken turns at the helm of this Provencal estate, now skilfully managed by Christine and Éric Saurel.
Domaine Montirius takes its name from the first names of Christine and Éric Saurel’s three children: Manon, Justine and Marius.
In 1996, the estate became the first vineyard in the Vacqueyras and Gigondas appellations to convert to biodynamic viticulture.
Vinified and aged entirely in concrete vats, the wines produced by the Saurel family are always sincere, with great aromatic purity and remarkable length.

Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two jewels of the Southern Rhône signed by the talented Saurel family:
DOMAINE MONTIRIUS – Côtes-du-Rhône “Jardin Secret” 2016
DOMAINE MONTIRIUS – Vacqueyras “Garrigue” 2017

“We’ve been biodynamic for 26 years, so we can no longer say it’s by chance!”
Christine Saurel
