Weekend Tasting: “Domaine Alain Michelot, the magic of great Pinot”

Located in the center of the Côte de Nuits, in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Alain Michelot cultivates 8 hectares of vines in the Nuits St Georges, Morey Saint Denis and Clos Vougeot appellations.
Founded in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1880, Alain’s daughter Élodie Michelot is now in charge of producing the estate’s wines.
Since she joined the family domaine in 1996, followed by her husband in 1998, the wines have steadily progressed towards greater finesse and elegance, without losing power.
With up to a third of the barrels new, the wines are aged for 18 to 24 months, resulting in dense, spicy, ripe fruit flavors.
