Weekend Tasting: “Domaine Gauby, wine and agroforestry”

Located 20 kilometers northwest of Perpignan, in the heart of the Agly Valley in the Pyrénées-Orientales, Domaine Gauby has taken Roussillon wines to new heights.
It all began with Gérard Gauby’s father, an international rugby player with a passion for wine, who bought a few hectares of vines on the limestone and marl soils of Calce to complete his father’s vineyard.
Since his beginnings in the mid-1980s, Gérard Gauby, with the help of his son Lionel and his wife Ghislaine, has pursued his quest for a great Mediterranean wine.
Organic since 1996 and deeply committed to agroforestry, the estate covers 85 hectares, 40 of which are planted with vines. The remainder consists of meadows, oak, olive and almond trees.
The estate has gone through several periods of rethinking, gradually moving towards a fresher, more digestible style of wine. It has opened new doors and continues to reinvent southern viticulture.

Join us this Friday and Saturday to discover two unique white wines from this world-renowned institution:
DOMAINE GAUBY | Côtes Catalanes Blanc “Vieilles Vignes” 2018
DOMAINE GAUBY | Côtes Catalanes Blanc “La Jasse” 2021

“It’s thanks to our passion that we’re able to work our 40 hectares as if we were working 1 hectare.” Lionel Gauby
