Weekend Tasting: “Arbois, the great marl terroir of the Jura”
Located in the heart of the winegrowing village of Montigny-lès-Arsures, 3 kilometers north of Arbois, Domaine André and Mireille Tissot has been run with panache by their son Stéphane and his wife Bénédicte for 30 years.
It’s hard not to admire the monumental work accomplished each year, with no fewer than 35 cuvées produced from 48 hectares of vineyards, all of them at the very top of the regional production.
Protected by a limestone ledge, Arbois’ marly terroir and sloping relief make it an ideal place for growing vines.
Undeniably in a class of their own, Chardonnay ouillés “à la bourguignonne” are astonishing in their breadth and intensity. They have it all: length, breadth and depth.
We invite you to join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two shades of Arbois Chardonnay of rare complexity and mad energy:
DOMAINE ANDRÉ ET MIREILLE TISSOT | Arbois Chardonnay “Sursis” 2019
DOMAINE ANDRÉ ET MIREILLE TISSOT | Arbois Chardonnay ” La Mailloche ” 2019
“Our Chardonnays have spicy notes that are the little Jura trademark in spite of everything.” Stéphane Tissot
