Weekend Tasting: “From Chambertin to the slopes of Schlossberg”

Wife of renowned Burgundy winemaker Jean-Louis Trapet, Andrée has never wished to abandon her Alsatian roots.
Despite the distance between the two regions, Andrée took over the family estate in Riquewihr in 2002, helped by her mother Hélène, whose boundless energy and determination never let her back down.
The weight of history and name can be a heavy thing to bear when you’re young and want to experiment. Their two sons, Pierre since 2016 and Louis in 2018, have chosen to commit themselves to the Alsatian estate.
If the Gevrey-Chambertin estate can boast three Grands Crus, Chambertin, Latricières and La Chapelle, the Riquewihr estate can even boast four, Schlossberg, Schonenbourg, Sonnenglanz and Sporen.

We look forward to seeing you at the boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover the many points in common between the two Trapet estates: haute couture vinifications, fine wines with identity, biodynamic cultivation :

“We’ve always been very close to Alsace through Mom, with a life straddling the two regions, and have been ever since we were little.” Louis Trapet
