Weekend Tasting: “J-A Ferret, the jewel of Fuissé”
Located in the winegrowing village of Fuissé, in the south of the Mâconnais region and at the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the J-A Ferret estate was founded in 1840, and three women have distinguished themselves in the course of its history.
First, Jeanne Ferret, who in the 1950s was the first to bottle her wine, and was also behind the parcel-based vinification still practiced by the estate.
Then her daughter, Colette, continued the work, with a particular emphasis on ageing. Audrey Braccini, a brilliant oenologist, has been at the helm of this Mâconnais star since it was bought by Louis Jadot of Beaune in 2008, and will continue to do so until 2023.
Arriving in 2023, Clément Robinet, former vineyard manager at Domaine des Héritiers du Comte Lafon, is now perpetuating the savoir-faire of this estate, which produces some of the finest Pouilly-Fuissé in the appellation.
Join us at the Boutique this Friday and Saturday to discover two jewels of Pouilly-Fuissé interpreted by the brilliant domaine J-A Ferret:
