Weekend Tasting: “La Mordorée, for the love of the land

Located in the heart of Tavel, on the right bank of the Rhône, some fifteen kilometers from Avignon, the Domaine de la Mordorée was created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe.
In 30 years, Christophe Delorme has raised his domaine to the level of the greatest in the sector.
Since his death in 2015, his wife Madeleine and daughter Ambre have continued the work initiated by this perfectionist, passionate and visionary winemaker.
Even today, quality and the environment are the keystones of this estate, whose entire vineyard is now certified Biodynamic.
90% red, Lirac is an unspoilt, tranquil spot off the beaten track, classified as a Côtes du Rhône cru since 1947. The three types of soil – limestone scree, rolled pebbles and sand – enable us to offer a rich, complex range of wines combining structure and elegance.
