Established in Fixin since the 18th century, Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet has a long family history. Amélie represents the 7th generation and produces wines with the same passion and panache as her predecessors.

Amélie’s father, Denis, and her uncle, Vincent, both trained oenologists, have made a major contribution to the Domaine’s development. By acquiring parcels of Fixin Villages and Fixin Premiers Crus, they enabled the estate to grow to the 13 hectares that characterize it today.
Parcels of Premiers Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée complete this rich winegrowing heritage.
Amélie joined the domaine in 2013 after graduating with a degree in agronomy and oenology, and continues the family tradition, bringing the estate’s colors to the highest level. By paying particular attention to the vines and the plants, Amélie is committed to respecting the environment and using reasoned, organic practices. Chemical weedkillers have been banned, and the soil is tilled to allow the vines to flourish. De-leafing and green harvesting are also practiced on the estate to bring greater concentration to the berries, for optimal ripeness.
Vinification takes place in concrete vats to ensure that each terroir is fully reflected. The wines are aged for 24 months, with a small proportion of new barrels. The aim is to preserve the purity of fruit and the clarity of each parcel. From Villages to Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, the wines reveal impressive ageing potential, while remaining accessible in their prime. Beautiful nectars, intense and complex, to be savored over and over again.
