A family estate, a story of transmission, passion and sharing. Born into a family of winegrowers, Bruno Colin cut his teeth at the Colin-Deleger family estate before embarking on his own adventure in 2004. The excellent quality of the wines produced and the growing renown of Domaine Bruno Colin have proved him right.
Passionate about the white wines of Burgundy, Bruno Colin realized his dream in 2004 when he vinified his first vintage under the eponymous domaine. The domaine comprises 9 hectares (6 of Chardonnay and 3 of Pinot Noir) spread over 5 communes: Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-lès-Maranges. Bruno Colin could not have hoped for a better way to put his creativity and talent at the service of some of the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious vineyards.
As sole master of his domain, he manages all aspects of the vineyard and winery. Each plot is worked with care and attention to detail, preserving the plant material and the ecosystem. Ploughing and yield control allow the vines to give their best. As each vintage is different, Bruno Colin keeps in mind that nature dictates the course to be followed and adapts his practices to the climatic conditions.
The same care is taken in the cellar, in order to best reflect the identity of each terroir. Aging in wood is limited to around 12 months, and new barrels are used sparingly. The resulting wines are haute couture, slender, pure and precise. Bruno Colin has succeeded in producing wines of remarkable elegance and depth, vintage after vintage, whether red or white.
