Located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard makes Chardonnay shine in the firmament of Burgundy white wines.
Founded in 1985 by Richard Fontaine and Laurence Gagnard, Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard has enjoyed a warm welcome from the outset. Located for the most part in the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet, the domaine’s vineyards are spread over 22 appellations, including 3 Grands Crus and 10 Premiers Crus. Following in the footsteps of her parents, Céline joined the family domaine in 2007, and continues to maintain the quality of the wines and the devotion to our winegrowing heritage. Grapes harvested at perfect ripeness are then treated with equal care in the winery, where low-intervention winemaking encourages the expression of the original terroirs in each cuvée. The wines produced combine purity and finesse, while demonstrating excellent ageing potential.
