Established in Meursault since the early 1990s, Domaine Mikulski has always excelled in producing fine wines, whatever the difficulties encountered during the vintage. Consistency and quality are the keys to emotion.
With their shared passion for gastronomy and wine, Marie-Pierre and François Mikulski created their eponymous domaine in the early 1990s. She is the daughter of a Burgundy winemaker, and he is the nephew of Pierre Boillot, a respected winemaker from Meursault, from whom he “learned the business”. In 1992, the couple’s first harvest was a success, thanks to a generous vintage and their unfailing determination. Subsequent vintages were sometimes more complicated, but the Mikulski family was able to convince with its transparency and integrity in the service of their cuvées. Marie-Pierre and François favor quality over quantity, producing wines of unfailing purity and consistency year after year.
Aware that they are at the service of the plant to produce the wines they like, they apply the principles of organic farming without seeking certification. Respect for the vines and their environment is a matter of course.
The Meursault Village, the estate’s flagship wine, is a perfect example of the couple’s perfectionism. If necessary, the blend includes grapes from neighboring Premier Crus to achieve the desired level of quality. All cuvées are treated with the same care, and each reveals a wonderful expression of its terroir of origin.
Joined by their daughter, Anna, and her husband, Thomas, the couple look forward to a bright future. The wines of Meursault continue to amaze us.
