The village of Morey-Saint-Denis offers some of the finest terroirs on the Côte de Nuits, and the Lignier family are careful to bring them out in their generous wines.

Laurent Lignier, the fifth generation to run the estate, continues the family winegrowing tradition with his father Hubert. Cherishing the vines located on the prestigious terroirs of Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, Laurent Lignier faithfully respects each of his terroirs by ploughing the soil for over 30 years and banning the use of pesticides. Convinced that wine can only be made in the vineyard, Laurent Lignier takes particular care with the grapes that enter the winery. Some of these are vinified as whole grapes, then aged in oak barrels on lees for 20 to 22 months, before being bottled by gravity without fining or filtration. The result is flamboyant, with wines that combine elegance and freshness while respecting the characteristics of the soils in which they were born. A brilliant success.
