A historic property in Burgundy, Domaine Marquis d’Angerville has enjoyed a singular aura since its birth in the 16th century, which continues to this day and radiates throughout the Volnay vineyards.

The sixth generation to head the estate, Guillaume d’Angerville took over the reins in 2003 and has been working in the family tradition ever since. Paying particular attention to the vines, Guillaume d’Angerville decided in 2006 to convert the entire vineyard to biodynamic agriculture. These practices, which respect the vines and their ecosystem, produce grapes of perfect ripeness. Carefully transported to the winery, the grapes are destemmed, gently pressed and transferred by gravity to the barrels in which they will age for around 18 months. All these gentle practices lead to the elaboration of great wines with their own elegance and singular personality. Monopole du Clos des Ducs, family-owned for over 200 years, reveals pure, elegant aromas, a remarkable symbol of the estate’s style.
