Four centuries of passion for viticulture drive the Méo-Camuzet estate and this wonderful family history.
Buoyed by a rich and fruitful family winegrowing history, Jean-Nicolas Méo took over the reins of the estate in the early 1990s, accompanied at the outset by his father and a mentor with an enchanting name in the Burgundy wine world, Monsieur Henri Jayer. Well surrounded and eager to take up the torch with brio, Jean-Nicolas brought a wind of modernity to the domaine, notably by developing the international marketing of his wines and creating an haute couture trading company, Méo-Camuzet Frère et Sœurs, to better respond to growing demand and the desire for more accessible wines. Careful viticulture and meticulous attention to detail in the cellar give birth to airy, charming wines. The role of the human being is always replaced by that of the terroir, and the wines have excellent ageing potential while remaining accessible in their early years.
