For seven generations, wine has been a family affair for the Bouzereau family. Winegrowers in Meursault from father to son, Michel (6th generation) makes this appellation shine by producing flamboyant wines. He has passed on to his son Jean-Baptiste a passion for Burgundy terroirs and a taste for work well done.
After a decade of working hand-in-hand with his father, Jean-Baptiste took over the reins of the family domaine in 1999, continuing the work begun by his forebears and adding his own touch of modernity.
Convinced that wine is first made in the vineyard, Jean-Baptiste helps the vines to produce the most concentrated and tasty grapes possible. Disbudding and the use of natural products are the order of the day to ensure that the grapes reach optimum ripeness. In the cellar, precise vinification and longer maturation in larger containers produce purer wines, never marked by wood. Inspired by biodynamic, the wines reveal their finesse, aromatic intensity and depth. The wines are acclaimed by all, and the domaine recently received its 3rd star in the famous Revue du Vin de France Guide, propelling it into the closed circle of legendary Murisaltiens such as Coche-Dury, Comte Lafon and Roulot.
