At the helm of this exceptional domaine is Nicole Lamarche. Nicole cares for the vines and works meticulously and respectfully in the cellar. Devilishly efficient and gifted with an uncanny talent, she creates wines with singular personalities, perfect reflections of their terroirs.
The jewel in the crown of this multi-faceted domaine is the Grand Cru La Grande Rue parcel, the estate’s monopoly nestled among the parcels of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. All the wines produced here are of the highest quality.
Favoring finesse of texture and aromatic delicacy, Nicole Lamarche relies on grapes harvested at perfect ripeness, and uses 30 to 40% whole bunches. The proportion of new barrels used for ageing in wood is also carefully controlled, so as not to leave too strong a mark on the wines. The result is exceptional bottles of remarkable purity.
