From the outset, Domaine Jacqueson has been committed to bringing the Rully appellation back to the forefront, a place it proudly occupied until the 19th century. The purity and precision of the wines produced at the domaine confirm the (re)emerging renown of the Côte Chalonnaise appellations.

After the Second World War, the Rully appellation suffered an unjust depreciation of its vineyards. Founder of the eponymous domaine in 1946, Henri Jacqueson, followed by a handful of local winemakers, set about restoring the region to its former glory. In the 1950s, he was one of the first to offer his bottled wines directly to private customers. The estate currently covers 18 hectares, almost equally divided between the two colors: 55% red wines and 45% white wines. The care lavished on the vines is reflected in the wines’ remarkable finesse and aromatic expression. The abandonment of herbicides some fifteen years ago, disbudding and weeding, among other reasoned cultural practices, are naturally implemented at the domaine to encourage perfect ripening of the bunches.
From the outset, Domaine Jacqueson has been a major contributor to the renown of the Rully appellation, working tirelessly to promote the superb terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise. Marie and Paul, the third generation at the head of the domaine, impress us every year with their consistency in producing wines of magnificent intensity. Sister and brother combine their strengths and talents at the domaine to offer us some of the finest wines in Burgundy.
