Founded in the 19th century, Domaine Groffier has continued to raise its wines to the highest level ever since, becoming an essential reference on the Côte de Nuits.

Nicolas Groffier is the fourth generation to head up the family domaine, and he is the master at making the eyes and taste buds of every Pinot Noir connoisseur shine. The estate’s vineyards are concentrated in the fine appellations of Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, including the Premier Cru Les Amoureuses parcel, of which the domaine is the largest owner. Combining finesse of texture and aromatic concentration, the wines produced show remarkable ageing potential. With this in mind, and in order to offer mature wines, since the 2014 vintage, the domaine has been selling only half of the year’s production, so that it can age previous vintages in its cellars and offer them for sale when they are judged ready to drink.
