A landmark in the winegrowing history of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the Thibault Liger-Belair estate traces its roots back to the birth of the family vineyard in the early 18th century.

With a degree in Oenology, Thibault’s path began outside the vineyards, but not far from wine, at Ficofi. In 2001, he took over the reins of the family estate, bringing his dynamism and expertise to bear. From the outset, he gave the estate a soul, accompanying the personality of each terroir so that it reveals its full potential in the final cuvées. Controlled yields and meticulous selection of the wood that will house the wines during their maturation ensure the utmost precision in the representation of the soils and their characteristics. The winemaker’s work never supersedes the revelation of the terroir, and this approach delivers intense, refined wines of masterful balance.
